Open access policy
Biology and Biotechnology Communications (BBC) is a fully open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the unrestricted global dissemination of high-quality research.
Policy Statement
BBC operates under a platinum (no-fee) open-access model. All published articles are made freely available to read, download, copy, distribute, and reuse immediately upon publication, without subscription fees or registration barriers.
License
All research articles published in BBC are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license permits anyone to:
-
Share – copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.

Adapt – remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use.
The only requirement is that users provide proper attribution to the original authors and source, give a link to the license, and indicate if any changes were made.
Copyright
Authors retain the copyright of their published work. By submitting to BBC, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish the article and identify itself as the original publisher. Authors are free to self-archive their published work and reuse it in future publications, provided the original publication in BBC is cited.
Archiving and Preservation
To ensure permanent access, BBC deposits all published content in long-term digital preservation systems, including the PKP Preservation Network (PN) and CLOCKSS. This guarantees the research archive remains available to the global scholarly community for the indefinite future.
Funding and Article Processing Charges (APCs)
BBC is committed to equitable access to publishing. The journal levies no article processing charges (APCs) or submission fees from authors. The publication costs are supported by the journal's publishing institution or sponsors to ensure no financial barriers exist for authors.
